You’re the arborist. Each yard has one tree that has to come down, and a client who would very much like to keep their house. Cut the trunk at any height, set the notch, drop or rope the limbs, and bring it all down without flattening anything.

Click the trunk at any height. Above the stump line you take the top off; at or below it you fell what’s left.
Notch: wide steers the piece down right at the stump; narrow snaps early and throws it 2–3 m further out.
Limbs: drop them, or lower them on a rope beside the trunk. Heavy limbs pull the tree their way.
Lean: felling against it needs a wedge. Wind: cut in a lull.

Tip: turn your phone sideways for a bigger yard.
